Asus We Transform Event – The Holiday Lineup Emerges

At Club Haze, Fort Strip, BGC last night Asus reps unveiled the lineup of notebooks to round up the year. It was a flurry of technology as the entire range of notebooks were presented one by one highlighting each one’s main focus.

Dealers and media were treated to a night of fine food and beats while going around handling the latest configurations for the tech leader’s notebook lineups.

Here is a quick rundown of the available SKUs available including their prices, listed together for ease of classification and hopefully selection for interested purchasers.

The star of the evening however is the Transformer Book T100 – a 10” notebook that splits to become a tablet when required. 64 gigs of flash memory inhabit the tablet side and there is no battery on the keyboard dock just like their newer line of Android transformers. What amazes me is that the screen at 10” already has the standard resolution that was afforded only to 11.6” and above prior to this model.

It utilizes an Intel Z3740 quad core Atom clocked at 1.33Ghz, 2 gigs of RAM, a front camera for video calls, a microUSB, microHDMI port, microSD slot, and 3.5mm headphone jack on the tablet side and a lone USB 3.0 port on the dock, all standard wireless connections, orientation sensors but no GPS… everything in a notebook really. Windows 8 is completely utilized with the capacitive IPS panel, comes with free Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 and a year of Asus Web Storage – a steal for just under 25,000Php

So go out and buy one… its available since yesterday! Salutations for a successful launch Asus team! Always looking forward to your next grand innovation.

Full PR after the break.
