Pokemon GO Sideload Version Lowdown

This day saw the release of the highly anticipated title from The Pokémon Company and Niantic. It was for a couple of territories only which does not include the Philippines ATM. A person could play the game however by downloading the 50+MB installation file for Android so you could experience first hand how it will be during Global/SEA release.

Current gaming experience is less than stellar, it’s actually quite problematic as of yet… there’s plenty of downtime because of server side issues, it places an insane amount of stress on your phone’s battery, and later during the day, it would appear as if the Philippine map has been stripped of Pokemons – we tested it to length, drove around with two active accounts, and still nothing. Here’s to hoping this isn’t permanent.

A player would be able to finish capturing either one of the three primary Pokemons of old – Charmander, Squirtle, or Bulbasaur and rename their avatar. We’ll have to see if tomorrow the area activity will finally be returned for trainers to venture out once more.
