The web is currently abuzz with the announcement of the newest Leica camera dubbed T (Type-701). Quickspecs include a 16 Megapixel sensor, all new T-mount, icon based menus, hotshoe, pop-up flash, and will launch with two lenses – an 18-56mm f3.5-5.6 and a 23mm f2 (Summarit).
Controls are thru two side-by-side wheels and the capacitive interface which populates the rear. The housing is a solid aluminum affair which makes for an overall premium feel as can be expected with the brand.
With an approximated launch price of 2000USD its up there but getting more and more within reach. Here’s to hoping this makes it ashore, what with the imminent opening of the store at Greenbelt!
