ASUS MeMO Pad ME172 – Repositioning the Nexus 7

With more than a few design cues from their Google collab – the Nexus 7, this new 7 inch tablet positions itself further down the price spectrum making accessibility to a handheld computing device all the more possible. Priced at USD149 ~6000Php, its the perfect mobile computing solution for everyone.

Specs have been toned down in order to accomplish this but the addition of an expansion slot makes it a better media consumption alternative. Key specs are the following: Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 16GB memory, 1GHz CPU, Mali-400 GPU, SonicMaster and MaxxAudio technologies, and a 1024×600 resolution 350-nit LED backlit display with 140-degree viewing angles.

Stay tuned for updates on local availability and pricing, rest assured it will grace our shores. Full PR after the break.
