Acer Aspire M5 at the Megamall Concept Store

I’ve finally been able to visit the newly renovated Acer concept store at the SM Megamall (because I went there for the annual Toy Convention) and there was this new Timeline model hiding behind the two computers up at front.

Its called the Aspire M5-481TG; a 14.1 inch 3rd Generation i5 machine running on Windows 7 Home Premium with 6GBs of RAM and 500GBs of storage capacity. Its retailing at nearly 45k Php and it looks like a thicker Aspire S3 which is mainly the reason why I stopped to look in the first place, I had thought I was looking at the S5. I turned it over and didn’t find the hidden drawer on there much to my dismay. Something different about this particular unit is that the power button is situated at the front and not within the keyboard layout which means that it is exposed and could accidentally be hit but I’m sure they tested against that during R&D. The pricing is quite high considering the i7 units available in the market but the premium finishing of this particular unit might just sway savvy consumers to take it home. If you dropped by for a visit, you would have also had a chance to win an Aspire S3 or an Iconia Tab A100 through their ultra mayhem event which culminates on June 23 at the Cyberzone of North Edsa Annex.
