Applications / Software Branding Mobile Purchasing

Mio Moov DR03 / MiVue 128

It has been two weekends now that I’ve been seeing this interesting little video recorder being carried by Accent Micro for 7,670Php.

As of writing, I cant really tell what you will get with the unit itself when you purchase it. The box is quite small to host all the standard accessories as they are listed by a Singapore supplier.

What it is is basically a video camera that is specifically geared towards tracking vehicular movement (bike/car) through both a video and built in GPS. This is great for enthusiasts who go through a variety of terrain especially uncharted ones. A bundled software application overlays the recorded track through Google map data with speed and distance logs.

It works using two AAA batteries or with a car charger, and records through a microSD card. What is a little bit disappointing is it only has a 300k pixel camera… 0.3 megapixels isn’t really that great in today’s mobile video recording standards. You’ve really got to be a hardcore data-logger to be swayed into purchasing one of these.
