As much as we like the electric drum kits and the more traditional ones, nothing beats a good old fashioned setup made from nothing but tin cans and whatnot.
During the Architecture Summit there happened to be a cultural presentation hosted by one of the major event sponsors and the performance groups had with them this custom kit:
Built almost completely of steel drums and raised by bars, this high powered bass set dictates the cadence for most of the cultural acts. A little nostalgia from good old caroling days only on a much grander and more ‘professional’ scale.
Definitely made for a good banging and dropping beats!
