When the invite came for this particular launch it was quite the curiosity as the M235, within Logitech mice, is among the more commercial and wouldn’t really need a grand celebration… surprisingly it turns out that it did!
Upon entry we were greeted by a spread of uniformly shaded mice that were completely enveloped in four eye-catchingly simple pastel shades aptly named: Green Envy, Bubble Bath (Pink), Blue Bliss, and Daring Diva (Purple).
Next to them were more offerings like the M165, a straightforward wireless mouse that doesn’t have the unifying receiver with sleek lines that is set to retail at 450Php, and the MK240, a spill resistant combination that redefines the meaning of compact and comes in two very distinct color themes.
On another table we find an all new, much more compact, version of their Audio Bluetooth Receiver – now of the multi-point variety which allows for two pairings to be remembered by the device, flanked each with its own pair of speakers ready for testing. The receivers are set to retail at 1,900Php
Finally on the adjacent wall were two gaming set-ups pimped to the brim with Logitech G products namely – keyboards (G510s – backlit, programmable, display laden, multi-profile), mice (G400s – wired gaming and G602 – wireless gaming, variable DPI up to 2500, programmable, endurance/performance mode), mouse pads (G240) and headsets (G430 – Dolby surround, articulated, washable earpads).
It is in this area where we got to talk with Regional Country Business Manager Mr KP Sim about some of their gaming peripherals, textures, materials, and design philosophies of their more than 30 year old expertise.
The program, hosted by DJ Francesca of RX, had within it a little bit of history and a lot of the features intrinsic of all their most recent product lines as presented by Mr Sim.
It was followed up by a question and answer portion where KP, Jeanette, and Francis took turns giving light to inquiries made by members of different media sectors, questions ranged from additional colors to the current collection to impact and response to the reported decline of PC sales.
Some items were raffled off and my partner was lucky enough to go home with an Ultrathin Keyboard Folio for iPad mini!!!
All the attendees were able to go home with an M235 each though so everybody’s happy! Thank you so much Logitech and kudos to a successful launch for your 2014 Color Collection!
Full PR after the break.
