SONOS Move – Soundstage To Go

Audiophiles might just have a very competitive mobile speaker contender with the Sonos Move. A WiFi and Bluetooth connected speaker system that is robust and practically lifeproof is now in the offer for Php 46,990.

Here’s what’s on the table:

Sonos Sound in a portable package, heck yeah!

Two (2) Class-D digital amplifiers
One (1) downward-firing tweeter
One (1) mid-woofer
Battery playback from -10°C to 55°C
Charging from 0°C to 45°C
Connects to WiFI and Bluetooth Supports 802.1b/g/n and 2.4GHz

Weight
6.61 lb (3 kg) including battery

Dimensions (H x W x D)
9.44 x 6.29 x 4.96 inches (240 x 160 x 126 mm)

Now 3KG sounds like a lot but it actually is quite portable considering some of the other powerful wireless speaker setups that are available. The Sonos Move is handled from the backside with a cavity that acts as a handle.

It is fairly splashproof (do not submerge) and weather resistant with an IP56 rating even though it has some holes on it, the sound and the speaker remain unaffected when we were testing them. The Sonos Move provides 10 hours of uninterrupted playback which is more than enough for any outdoor session… if you should need more there’s always USB-C charging to help with that ^^

Rain? No biggie for the Sonos Move

The best part of the Sonos Move is that it interacts with the Sonos ecosystem of products so if you have one of the wireless connected setups at home, you can bring around the Sonos Move to any room and make that a part of the controlled environment with independent music streaming. The Sonos Move works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant out of the box and is perfect for when you don’t want to fiddle around with the capacitive controls for the speaker up top.
