Samsung Series 3 Notebook with AMD Fusion A6 APU

Coded np305v4a-s02ph which denotes its localized configuration, this Samsung notebook seems to currently be the only one bearing the AMD Fusion A6 3410mx APU among the lot.

SamsungA6

The particular unit I saw was being sold at Octagon for 32,900Php and at that price it is pretty powerful: A quad core clocking in at 1.6Ghz coupled with a RadeonHD 6470m 512mb graphics chip drives this machine; it also has 4GBs of DDR3 memory plus 640GBs of storage with a Windows 7 64-bit operating system to boot.

Online reviewers claim comparable performance coming from an A6 and the older generation Intel Core i7 740QM which is saying a lot. I’d love to take one for a spin and find out the truth about that because if it is indeed true, there are economic implications that are not easily brushed off.

There is also an Intel version of the device so be sure to check out the specs if you would be getting one. Do share any experience with the unit should you happen to have one and stumble in here.
