Nocticron f1.2 42.5mm Panasonic Leica Lens Announced

image

This lens was announced today continuing on the development of Panasonic Leica standard primes with an 85mm equivalent. While pricing is yet to be determined, this very fast lens is bound to be a drain on shooters fond of the micro 4/3rds standard.

Special features of this lens are image stabilization and a manual aperture ring which is very welcome to practitioners of manual manipulation… now if they made the focus ring with definite stops then that would be completely unprecedented.

This is bound to be heavy but we won’t know that until it becomes commercially available. Its a good thing I have a 50mm 1.4, albeit manual, should be a close approximate leave for the quickness of focus. Can’t wait to see samples coming off of this one.
