Last Friday, Asus Philippines held a small gathering to welcome their newest laptop variant into the Philippines – The Transformer Book Flip which boasts of four modes in three SKUs, as well as an updated version for their 10 inch Transformer T100 portable laptop line with three more color variations and an updated chipset.
While the flipping display design isn’t new to the technological landscape, Asus pulls the full 360 degree rotation off with a 4-hinge design that spans almost 80% of the space between the body and the screen making it very sturdy and stable at the same time.
All the SKUs are equipped with latest generation Intel cores: i3 and i5 for the 13 incher and i7 for the much larger 15 inch variant making for a very capable workstation and it is coupled with a newer Nvidia card which is said to be compatible with 100% of games currently in the market.
While it seems to be geared towards more of an entertainment utility, flipping the screen gives the user more options in handling how content is shown, delivered, and manipulated further expanding the usability and competitiveness of the more powerful and capable laptop when compared to its tablet counterparts.
On the other side of the room, three color variants of the updated T100 transformers are displayed with their 10 inch screens being dwarfed by the Transformer Book Flip only through virtue of size.

Pricing model follows the sizes which starts at 23,995Php for the updated 10-inch Transformer Book T100 followed by the i3 13-inch TP300 at 26,995Php and the i5 13-inch at 39,995Php and the quite tempting i7 15-inch TP550 at 59,995Php. You should be able to find these populating major computer stores in no time at all.
