4.2.2 Google Nexus 7 Update

Got the update notification on mine when I woke up this morning. Updated without hesitation and reading about what the update actually does.

There is already a 100 post entry on it on the XDA thread where I shared some insight on how the PRISM didn’t actually get updated with the system implementation and there’s still the washout that happens post video playback. Plenty of testimonials on it being smoother than the previous 4.2.1 and as fluid as the very first firmware but I can’t tell since mine started with the former already. Battery and bluetooth audio performance apparently has been improved as well and that will only reveal itself after a few days of use and actual testing.

Nexus devices sure get the quicker update path and that is certainly an advantage should the user want to always have the latest… my inclination lies on functional however.
