Facebook Lite – Sped Up Thru Regression

image

Our friends from Android Authority let everyone in on a Facebook that is almost reminiscent of the very first mobile version somehow melded with the current UI.

It is called Facebook Lite and targets users of entry level devices as well as data speeds under 3G. At just about a megabyte of data for the installation, it is far more storage friendly than the official Facebook app. I’m testing it out to see if it can be just as usable without the data footprint of the original (small internal storage issues XD)… Who knows, it might just keep users updated even when data speeds dwindle to just EDGE.

The app is called “Lite” on the drawer and is differentiated by a Facebook logo whose colors are reversed.

Follow the source link for the APK should you want to take it for a spin and get an app-ropriate dose of nostalgia!
