Facebook for Android… tablet support oncoming?

image

I’ve been seeing a lot of the facebook app on the market as of late while using my transformer but I never got it to install. It would always tell me that the app cannot be found or some sort of problem. But tonight, when I clicked on it, it started downloading and is now a part of my Honeycomb system.

It is clear as day that this version is very much just like that on my phone and can hardly be called Honeycomb optimized; but the mere availability of it through the official market channel might just be beckoning something more grand. I’ll be removing the Friend Me app now since most of the time its just annoying me with its notifications that often doesnt work.

Im really hoping this leads to something more… tablet support for Facebook has been a long time coming and as the old saying goes, it is better late than never.
